Jesus is God

The Bible shows that Jesus is GOD almighty, God incarnate, The Father, who indwelling a human body, came to visit his people, died for our sins, rose again, and reigns forever and ever over the throne of Israel, and shall judge all, the living and the dead.

1. JOHN THE BAPTIST PREPARED THE WAY FOR YAHWEH (JEHOVAH) (ISAIAH 40:3 vs John 1:23).
John the Baptist prepared the way for JESUS, we see in the New Testament. He told people about Jesus, he told people to obey Jesus, he said that Jesus was coming, and he was not worthy to even carry Jesus’ s sandals. John the Baptist preached repentance towards God, and prepared the people of Israel to receive JESUS. And John’s ministry was prophesied in the Old Testament:
ISAIAH 40:3 (Young’s Literal translation) “A voice is crying -in a wilderness- “Prepare ye the way of JEHOVAH, make strraight in the desert a pathway for our GOD”
So we see that the voice in the wilderness was to prepare the way for JEHOVAH, and we know from the new testament that John the Baptist prepared the way for JESUS. It could be logically concluded that Jesus must have been Jehovah, incarnated, “God with us”.
Was John such voice in the wilderness? John himself andwers in the New Testament (John 1:23): “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, “Make straight the way of The Lord”, as said the prophet Isaiah”.
So John prepared the way for Jehovah, according to the Tanakh (Old Testament), and for Jesus, according to the New Testament. So Jesus must be Jehovah.

2. JEHOVAH WOULD SEND HIS MESSENGER (JOHN THE BAPTIST), TO PREPARE THE WAY BEFORE HIMSELF. (MALACHI 3:1).
“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and THE LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith THE LORD OF HOSTS. “
From the New Testament (Luke 7:27) we know that John the baptist was the messenger that Malachi 3:1 talks about. So God (The Lord of Hosts) was to send his messenger before himself. And The Lord says that “The Lord” shall come to his temple. The temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. by Titus Vespasianus. So “The Lord” God must have already come to His temple. When JESUS came to the Temple, before it was destroyed, this prophecy was fulfilled.

3. A CHILD WOULD BE BORN IN ISRAEL, AND BE CALLED “EVERLASTING FATHER, MIGHTY GOD”, AND REIGN FOREVER OVER ISRAEL. (ISAIAH 9:6-7).
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, THE MIGHTY GOD, The EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and peace THERE SHALL BE NO END, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even FOR EVER. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)
So, the only Jewish Child who has been called “God” by billions is JESUS. Only Jesus could possibly fulfill this old prophecy. And we see that the child this scripture talks about, would have a kingdom with no end. Would reign FOREVER. Who is the only one in the whole universe who has “no end”, and who reigns “FOREVER”? Only God. We know that human kings die. But this child reigns forever. Only God could fulfill this prophecy. So Jesus is the only Jewish child who is called “GOD”, and he will reign forever and ever. We know that since about the times of Jesus, the throne over earthly Israel has been empty, even until now. This is because JESUS has been reigning all this time over His People Israel. Is He not, after all, “The King of the Jews”? (John 19:19).

4. GOD ALONE (YAHWEH) IS THE KING OF ISRAEL, THE KING OF THE JEWS. BUT JESUS IS ALSO THE KING OF THE JEWS AND KING OF ISRAEL. SO JESUS MUST BE GOD. (JOHN 19:19 VS ISAIAH 43:15).
When the Israelites asked for a human king, like the other nations, God told them that they were rejecting HIM (God) as their King. (1 Samuel 8:7) So God didn’t approve of making a mortal their King. This situation couldn’t last forever. So God prophesied about a future righteous king, who would reign forever over Israel(Isaiah 9:6-7). (Only God could reign forever). Jesus came, and since then, there has been no rightful king over Israel, besides Jesus. (God).
“I [am] THE LORD (JEHOVAH), your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.” (Isaiah 43:15).
“Thus saith THE LORD (JEHOVAH) the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God. (ISAIAH 44:6)
“And JESUS stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest”. (Matthew 27:11)
“Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.” (John 1:49)
“And Pilate wrote a title, and put [it] on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS“(John 19:19).

5. JESUS WAS “GOD WITH US” (TRANSLATION OF THE NAME “EMMANUEL”). (MATTHEW 1:23).
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”(Matthew 1:21-23)
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14).

6. JEHOVAH IS THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END. BUT JESUS IS THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END. (ISAIAH 44:6 VS REVELATION 2:8,1:8).
“Thus saith the LORD (Jehovah) the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God.” (Isaiah 44:6).
I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8, JESUS SPEAKING).
“To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. (“Revelation 2:8, Jesus speaking)

7. JEHOVAH (GOD) IS ISRAEL’S REDEEMER. BUT JESUS IS ISRAEL’S REDEEMER.
Thus saith the LORD (JEHOVAH), the Redeemer of Israel, [and] his Holy One… (Isaiah 49:7)
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might REDEEM us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:13-14).

8. JEHOVAH (GOD) IS THE SAVIOUR OF ISRAEL. JESUS IS THE SAVIOUR OF ISRAEL. (Isaiah 43:11 vs 2 Peter 3:18).
“I, [even] I, [am] the LORD (JEHOVAH); and beside me [there is] no saviour.” (Isaiah 43:11)
“But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.”(2 Peter 3:18).

9. WAS JESUS GOOD? HE HIMSELF POINTED OUT, WHEN SOMEONE CALLED HIM “GOOD”, THAT ONLY GOD IS GOOD. (MARK 10:18).
“And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.” (Mark 10:17-18). He was not denying his own goodness… but establishing his deity.  Like saying: “what? do you mean I’m God?… because only God is good…” Jesus calls himself good, also, in the following verses:
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”(John 10:11).

10. JEHOVAH IS THE SHEPHERD OF ISRAEL. JESUS IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD. (PSALM 23:1 VS JOHN 10:11)
“ The LORD (JEHOVAH)is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”(John 10:11).

11. THE FULNESS OF THE GODHEAD DWELLS IN HIM. (COLOSSIANS 2:8-10).8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” So, that seems to be saying that Jesus is God, in a bodily form. God incarnated.

12. HE MADE HIMSELF EQUAL WITH GOD (JOHN 10:31-38). “Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? 37If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

13. HE AND THE FATHER ARE ONE (JOHN 10:30) “I and my Father are one.”

OTHER PROPHECIES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, ABOUT JESUS THE MESSIAH:

SEVENTY WEEKS OF DANIEL:
This is probably one of the most amazing prophecies in the entire Bible, which, for an impartial mind, for a truly inquisitive, sceptic, rigorously scientific mind, has no other explanation, but simply, that GOD really inspired the Bible. Now, go on, and read by yourself the text in Daniel 9:24-27 .

It gives you an equation, not very difficult to solve. 70 weeks, since the time that the prophecy was written, until the Messiah. The original word for "weeks" also means "sevens". So, it's a period of 70 sevens. That's 490 units. Within those 490 units of time, we have the following schedule:
a) The temple is going to be rebuilt, and the wall, and the street.
b)From the rebuilding until THE MESSIAH will be 62+9=69 weeks, that is, 483 "days" or "time units".
c)Then MESSIAH comes, and is "cut off" (killed).
d)Then, AFTER MESSIAH is killed, the people of some prince come and destroy the temple and the city.

Well, this prophecy happened exactly as it was foretold, without any discussion. And it could not have been written AFTER it happened, because the Old Testament was written well before JESUS, with no scholar AT ALL debating this. (Even Jewish scholars, who are opposed to Jesus).

So, let's see how it came to pass: Daniel wrote this prophecy, when he was a slave in Babylon. (Daniel 1:1-7).
The King of Babylon had destroyed the temple, and the city. (Jeremiah 52:12-16) This happened around 586 before Christ.
Then the prophecy was written by Daniel, and how do we know it was given by God? Because it came to pass, exactly as it was written:

First, the Temple and City were rebuilt. Cirus, king of Persia, conquered Babylon and decreed the rebuilding of the jewish temple. But his decree was not carried out, due to opposition by the neighbouring enemies of Israel. After that, King Artaxerxes decreed, again, the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the Temple. (Ezra 7:12-28). This decree was actually carried out. This is our starting point. The decree was given around 455 B.C.

So, from the giving of the decree, to the Messiah, there are 7+62 sevens= 483. Starting at 455 B.C., and adding 483 years, that takes us to 30 A.D. which is when JESUS started his ministry.

Then, the Messiah had to be "cut off". And this is exactly what happened with Jesus. This also agrees with other prophecies about the Messiah, having to suffer. (Psalm 22, Isaiah 52:13, 53, Genesis 3:14-15)After that, the "People of a prince" would come and destroy the temple and city. That is exactly what happened, when TITUS VESPASIANUS came and destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D.

So the prophecy was fulfilled to the letter.
